Dear Friends,
“To every creature and every being, there is a melody of its own,” said Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. These words beautifully capture the unique nature of music and its profound connection to the human soul. Music has the extraordinary power not only to move individuals, but also to bring people together. Regardless of their personal or family backgrounds, music becomes a shared language that unites performers and listeners alike.
This belief has guided Hassadna Jerusalem Music Conservatory for over fifty years: to provide every student who enters our doors with the opportunity to experience the highest level of music education—regardless of their background. At Hassadna, one can find the full spectrum of Jerusalem’s rich and diverse social tapestry: religious and secular, Jews, Christians, and Muslims, native-born Israelis and immigrants, children with special needs and youth at risk. All are united by a common love for music, and by Hassadna’s warm and inclusive embrace.
The musical excellence nurtured within the walls of Hassadna is a gift to the city of Jerusalem and its residents. It is a living example of the incredible potential and unique talent within every child and every young person.
I am confident that Hassadna will continue to thrive as a musical home that connects hearts and nurtures the outstanding talents with which Jerusalem has been blessed.
Warm Regards,
